wakeful dreamer

Shubby Doo: What streak of madness are you talking about?... because of Aerosmith?... o abeg leave me jare ... ahhhhh... ok fine... you really want to know what I want for my birthday?

‘I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure

Don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
Cause I'd miss you babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing

Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God we're together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever’

Shubby Doo: See... it's not lunacy… just the simple wish of a wakeful dreamer.

aloted 30 October 2008 at 12:45

oya Shubby Doo..spill...wats the 411??

And when is ur birthday?

hope u feeling better..and ur aunt?

Shubby Doo 30 October 2008 at 16:32

@jaycee – lol… awww sweetie… I would say ‘live the dream… always’…remember that ‘the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’… this belongs to you on your wedding night…so my dear claim it!!!

@FFF – lol… why am I not surprised that you got there 1st?

@talesandtallies - Welcome… I hope you hit a high when you listened to it again… one that allows you to fly without fear of falling… I hear that ‘in dreams and in love there are no impossibilities’.

@ibiluv – this is a song from the heart that is almost deafening 4 me @ times so I’m not even sure I would hear if they did… it is an illustration of what my soul writes about

@aloted – 411 eh?… my birthday is in about 1 ½ weeks but this can’t be my present on the day itself… I will be in Nevada with my gurls.

p.s
Thanks for asking. My aunt is proving to be a rock (4 us… can you imagine)… She is recovering 4rm the op well… very grateful to God 4 that.

that is my song! i love aerosmith!

Miss Definitely Maybe 30 October 2008 at 23:17

Amazing Song
But i could never pull it off singing it to anyone
coz I would be lying
I fall asleep at the drop of a hat
Im one of those people that you can start to watch a movie with and by the time you put in the dvd and press play I will already be snoring...who would fall to notice the irony if i fell asleep halfway thru the chorus.

ps :I know the song is not to be taken literally lol

O'Dee 31 October 2008 at 09:30

Love this song.

Shubby, u need to stop coding n tell us whats up o.

Allied 31 October 2008 at 14:13

I have a sweet bitter experience with this song. I love it but it takes me to a time I want to forget. What to do?

I saw ur comment on catwalq - funny, I just did mine and I was going to post it when I read ur comment - then i blushed (Hard for a dark girl like me)

U are actually the blogger I am thankful for - then I saw u wrote my name... I started thinking... is this love? Did I just find a soul mate on blogville? LOL!! I am KIDDING OH!

Regarding Bollywood (ur comment on my page)

I am a bollywood junkie and I have about 100 bollywood movies – Kuch Kuch Hota hai and Kabhi Khusi Kabhie Gham are classics – let me not forget sholay and Don.

I saw Black - Rani was excellent but I knew the story line, so I was not that intrigued – also too much English.

You should see “U, Me aur Hum” (U, me and us). Kajol and Ajay Devgan (they are married in real life) also u have to see Guru – Abhishek (Amitabh’s son) and Aishwarya (Of course another cute couple)

*** long comment sorry***

Smaragd 31 October 2008 at 18:30

Oh Sweets, how is aunty Grace? may God heal her.

This is one of my all time faves, so, whatsup wakeful dreamer?

very beautiful template by the way.

Smaragd 31 October 2008 at 18:33

ALLIED! I LOVE kuch kuch hota hai, and khabi kush khabi gam! OMG, U SO MADE ME TYPE THIS COMMENT IN CAPS OUT OF EXCITEMENT! lol

Shubby Doo 31 October 2008 at 19:14

@allied & smaragd - LMAOOO… see below for the lyrics of the song Kuch Kuch Hota hai (4rm the film of the same name)… funny i was pleasantly surprised to see that it applies to this post…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tum paas aaye, yun muskuraaye
(You came close, smiled like this)
Tumne na jaane kya sapne dikhaaye
(You don't know what dreams you showed me)
Ab to mera dil jaage na sota hai
(Now my heart is neither awake nor asleep)
Kya karoon haaye, kuch kuch hota hai
(What can I do, oh, something is happening)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What can i say but:
-love is a universal language
-love can make you crazy
-'a lunatic is a wakeful dreamer'

Allied 31 October 2008 at 19:42

The funny thing is i know the song by heart.

Na jaane kaisa ehsaas hai
(I don't know what experience this is)

Bujhti nahin hai kya pyaas hai
(It doesn't get quenched, what thirst this is)

Kya nasha is pyaar ka
(What intoxication of love)

Mujhpe sanam chhaane laga
(Has spread upon me, sweetheart)

Koi na jaane kyoon chain khota hai
(No one knows why our peace gets lost)

Kya karoon haaye, kuch kuch hota hai
(What can I do, oh, something is happening)

Kya rang laayi meri dua
(What color my prayer has brought)

Yeh ishq jaane kaise hua
(I don't know how this love happened)

Bechainiyon mein chain
(In this restlessness)

Na jaane kyoon aane laga
(I don't know why peace has started to come)

Tanhaai mein dil yaadein sanjota hai
(In loneliness my heart sorts through memories)

Kya karoon haaye, kuch kuch hota hai
(What can I do, oh, something is happening)

Shubby Doo 31 October 2008 at 20:58

@SSD – thank you 4 letting people know about this. My prayers are with Jonathan Elendu.

p.s
secrets? Lol… this is me being honest!!!

@vixenchick – yay! the song rocks.

@Miss DM – not that I’m saying that yours is a case of narcolepsy…but even if that was the case…wouldn’t it be great to wake up to hear your 'one and only' singing this to you… well that is after he grabs the steering wheel (from his passenger seat) and steers clear of the oncoming car to avoid a head on collision cos you fell asleep at the wheel… that truly would be love… lol

@oluwadee – it is not coded… hmmm…more out of context… i just wanted to express a sentiment I felt without explaining it

@allied – don’t let a memory of the past make you start imagining any clouds in your coffee… I could associate it with an ex but it is not about that… I think this song should be associated with love… perhaps the crazy kind but definitely the limitless kind…

p.s
my comment at catwalq's was a no brainer…

pp.s
I have sholay and don (both the early version of don with amitabh and the newer don flim with shahrukh khan).

Not a fan of ajay… as a protagonist his performances are too wooden for me… as a foil his is good (e.g. raincoat or hum dil de chupke sanam… funny I don’t think kajol has any on screen chemistry with her hubby

My power film couples are:
amitabh and jaya (she just beats his pairing with rekha)
shahrukh and kajol (in KG3, DDLJ, KKHH etc…)
saif ali khan and vidya balan (parineeta)
aishwarya and hrithik (dhoom 2 and jodhaa akbar)
rani and abhishek (yuva)

@NDQ – thank you. Glad u like it 2… it needed changing… besides baroque commented on my l’heure bleue post that the previous style was a bit gloomy… I think the pic brightens it up somewhat.

@simeone – I'm starting to think everyone should have one o!

@smaragd – hahaha… another bollywood queen… awww… thank you

@allied – I think I am going to adopt you as the younger sister I never had…

You should watch taal (with aishwarya and akshay khanna)… the lyrics to ALL the songs are magical!!!

Naapali 31 October 2008 at 21:21

Wow between Catwalq, Allied and now Smaragd and Shubby we have a Bollywood aficionado club going.

Shubby Doo 4 November 2008 at 18:39

@naapali – lol… I don’t mind admitting that I’m a fan.

@badderchic – he sure was… pretty sure when I 1st watched it, I shed a tear at the end because of him.

@rethots – but I want to live in the moment 4ever… lol… I guess that one never looses the excitement of possibilities because when dreams pass into the reality, out of reality stems new dreams…

@FBA – My birthday is pretty much taken care of… ask me want I want for Christmas?…

*smiles mischieviously*
